Zetland: The Redcar Life-Boat Filmed & Produced in 2008 as part of a series of 4 of my Heritage Documentaries for a permanent exhibition at the Zetland Lifeboat Museum, Redcar. The exhibition also includes ' The Fishing Town of Redcar' 'Zetland- The Redcar Lifeboat' & 'Redcar Celebrates Atonement' A film celebrating the Zetland Life-Boat 'The Oldest Life-Boat In The World'. Built in 1802 by Henry Greathead of South Shields, the Zetland Life-Boat knew service on the rugged & dangerous stretch of sea along the North-East Coast off Redcar. The film also pays tribute to the generations of Redcar Lifeboats & lifeboatmen who continue the brave & courageous tradition of saving lives at sea. Also features folk songs by Greame Miles ' The Zetland Is Her Name' was specially recorded for the film by The Wilson Family. Also features incidental music by Barrie Temple.
